All seams of the jacket are taped and waterproof. The material is dirt and water repellent. The removable hood is safe: it can be easily unfastened if it gets caught on something. Please note that the jacket provides three options for wearing at once: when it's cold, you can use the inner removable vest with the jacket, and in warm weather, you can wear the jacket and vest separately. Large reflective details and piping around the hood and cuffs add a cool retro look.
